I grew up in the South and was raised in Monroe, NC.  My strong faith was always instilled in me and continued as I attended Tabernacle Christian School.  My passion for hair developed as a young sixth grader.  I realized in the hair and beauty industry, I would be able to explore my creativity on a new canvas every day.  I knew making people feel beautiful while expressing myself artistically was my calling. I later attended Empire Beauty School in Concord, NC where I earned my Cosmetology Degree.

Continued education is essential, so I often take workshops to advance my knowledge and skills.  In the Carolinas, I have taken classes in smoothing, formal hair, customized color, haircuts, and product education.  I have also received my certification in Keratin smoothing treatments.  I enjoy doing traditional cuts and color on a variety of clientele including children, women, and men.  I specialize in vivid color, ombres, and formal styles.  L’Oréal professional is my go to color line, but I also mix it up with Joico, Schwarzkopf, and Pravana color lines.  Mainly, I retail Pureology products because they are sulfate-free, completely vegan, and have an anti-fade complex.

I have always thought of myself as catering to misfits because I can identify with them the most.  Wild Flowers Studio was named after the dandelion which can grow anywhere freely.  I want to bring out the free spirit and flower child in all of us.   The high point of being a hairstylist is having new surprises every day and building relationships with my clients. Hairstyling is one of the only art forms where you are able to get to know your subject and create for them as well.  My business motto is to make each person feel as beautiful as they possibly can.
